Dr. Kazmerski , Olivia Stransky, Catherine Wright, Dr. Birru Talabi, Dr. Callegari, Dr. Chang, Dr. Miller, Ashley Deal, Raelynn O'Leary, and Dr. Borrero conducted a study on our femtech tool MyVoice:CF showing that the tool increases self-efficacy and reproductive health communication for those with cystic fibrosis.

Partner perspectives on women's sexual and reproductive healthcare in cystic fibrosis

Olivia Stransky, Catherine Wright, and Dr. Traci Kazmeski found that partners report gaps in sexual and reproductive health care and counseling despite the majority wanting to discuss sexual and reproductive health concerns with their partner's cystic fibrosis team.

Sexual and reproductive health experiences and care of adult women with cystic fibrosis

In their recent study, Dr. Traci Kazmerski and Olivia Stransky found that women with cystic fibrosis (CF) have significantly different sexual and reproductive health (SRH) experiences than their non-CF peers. They report suboptimal SRH care compared to their preferences highlighting an urgent need to encourage SRH counseling/care in the CF model.

Finding ways to work parenting into cystic fibrosis

As more people with cystic fibrosis (CF) consider their reproductive futures, the impact of parenthood on CF must be better understood. Olivia Stransky and Dr. Traci Kazmerski found that parents with CF identified unique challenges to their existence as both parents and patients as well as ways in which parenting has enhanced their lives.

Ashley Deal and Raelynn O'Leary's Interaction Design class at CMU collaborated with Dr. Kazmerski and Olivia Stransky to develop mobile tools to help those with Cystic Fibrosis make informed decisions related to breastfeeding/chestfeeding.

Men expressed concerns related to family planning, parenting, and sexual and reproductive health

Dr. Mehret Birru Talabi and Olivia Stansky explored family planning, parenting, and sexual and reproductive health care needs and experiences of men with rheumatic diseases.

Engaging Stakeholders in the Development of a Reproductive Goals Decision AID for Women with Cystic Fibrosis

Utilizing meaningful stakeholder contributions, Dr. Traci Kazmerski and her team developed MyVoice:CF, a novel web-based decision aid to help women with CF engage in shared decision-making regarding their reproductive goals.
